I’m not much of a bag maker. I am mostly a quilter. But last year at Sewing Summit Amanda (seriously one of my fave people to follow!) taught a class on how anything can be a quilt. Something about a quilt just radiates love to me. I love that feeling of time and effort that has been invested in a tangible way. It seems that as a wife and mother, so much of my time is spent completing tasks that come undone as soon as I turn my back.
So when the lovely Susi offered to swap bags with me, I knew I wanted to make something special. I really love making gifts. I try to make sure that the gift is perfectly suited for the recipient. I knew Susi liked Heather Ross, so I pulled out my Unicorns. Doesn’t this design just make the unicorn ‘pop’. I think I fell even more in love with these creatures making this bag!

my favorite thing about fall is football. university of south carolina football to be exact- absolutely love it!
I’d normally say that walks in the woods and crunching leaves underfoot are my favorite things about fall, but right now my favorite thing about fall is the fact that caramel covered apples are in grocery stores !!

My fave things about autumn are the colours and the crisp air. Oh and the autumn storms which give you the perfect excuse to stay indoors, drink tea and read scary books.
I love the smell of fresh roasting green chilies (here in CO), the look of the sunlight and the crunch of leaves!

My favorite thing about fall is baking and making soup for dinner. But, it’s always hot in California!
I love wrapping up in soft wool scarves and hats and walking through the fallen leaves, every shade from palest yellow to deep red, oh and smelling woodsmoke drifting from a chimney. And going home to hot chocolate, bliss.

i love the crispness of fall, it feels so refreshing after the occasional muggy stickiness of summer, but what i REALLY love about fall is HALLOWEEN! i’m so excited already! i’m coordinating 2 halloween swaps with one of my quilt guilds, and a halloween block lotto with the other, it’s very closely tied with Xmas as my favourite holiday!

Squee! Pretty fabrics. My favorite thing about fall is definitely the cooler temperatures. After even a few weeks of heat and humidity I’m so glad to feel *cool* breezes again.

I love the colours of the fall foliage
I love the crispness in the air and the kid’s excitement about Halloween coming.
My favorite things about Fall are: pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins, cozy quilts, hot chocolate with mini marshmellows, Halloween, beautiful colors of Mums for my porch. Displaying all my Fall quilts and tabletoppers, candles and wool candlemats.
